President's Message - Giselle Carson
 What at honor and experience!! Serving as President of the FCHCC for the last two years has been thrilling and at times, tough....but despite the tight economy and other adversities, we remained focused on our vision and mission and had two flourishing years....and this momentum will continue under the leadership of our President-Elect, Betzy Santiago!
We grew and prospered because we worked hard, accepted feedback, took risks, resolved conflicts, divided responsibilities, and above all were united and put our organization and mission first and ahead of personal interests.
I have many people to thank for our success, including our members, advisers, and volunteers. And, particularly,I appreciate, thank, and recognize my immediate team of hard working, dedicated, giving, and visionary leaders including: Betzy Santiago, Diane Brunet-Garcia, Nelson Estepa, Jose Rodriguez, Carmen Rosa-Brooks, Ed Perez, Jose Lopez, Leon Carrero, Alida Lupari, Francisco Sefair, and Becky Vasko.
Additionally, many thanks to the members of our various committees including:Membership committee members: Zsuzsanna Rivera, Angela Tharp, Rebecca Black, and Ray Grogan; Achieving the Dream team members: Idania Lizano, Angelica Guardia, Vickie Corder, and Aliera Peterson; Programs committee members: Annie Grogan, Maribel Claudio, Rebeca Vezga, and Judy Galindo; Community outreach members: Laura Zablah and Carmen Sostre; Education committee members: Julio Morales, Alicia Quiros, Al Hernandez, Carmen Gonzalez, Carlos Rodriguez, Michelle Snow, and Rafael Alvarez; our Executive Assistant: Kim McDougal and many others!

Board Member's Message -
Ed Perez
2009 was an awesome year for the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as we nearly doubled our membership, truly impacted our community and the future of our youth - but the best is yet to come.
My name is Ed Perez. My family and I arrived on the shores of this great country with nothing but a dream from our "patria - Cuba". What a blessing it is to be able to dream and accomplish our goals, to be able to fulfill our spiritual needs and to be able to debate relevant topics without the fear of tyranny and retribution. We all are truly blessed. However, with opportunity comes the responsibility to be the best we can be, to reach out and help our brothers and sisters in our community and those less fortunate around the world.
I was blessed to have received a great education and been able to leverage my training in Business Administration, Economics, Psychology and have experienced a successful career. I've worked for CSX Corporation nearly 37 years in numerous management roles. Currently, I'm the Director in the Technology organization. I've worked hard however, I would not have accomplished what I have without the guidance and assistance of many folks I have met throughout my career.
I've been a FCHCC board member for nearly two years and am proud of our accomplishments and excited about our future opportunities. FCHCC provides a great avenue to network, develop our skill sets and just as important - to reach out to our community and create a long term impact - come join us!
I am looking forward to working with each one of you during our up coming year. As noted by Gandhi: "Let's be the change we wish to see in the world."
