 President's Message
Hola FCHCC Members and Supporters:
June was a successful month for chamber events benefiting our members. This included a wonderful Business Luncheon with Luis Lobo, BB&T, a Beaches Mixer, an Educational Workshop on the marketing your business and a fun Professional Networking Event. We started incorporating into all our events opportunities for each attendee to introduce and promote his/her business which has been a huge hit and led to increased business opportunities for those that attended. It's summer! The kids are out of school which means VACATION TIME so we will be taking a break in July from programs and events. There will be an Educational Workshop on July 28th on taxes and IRS compliance. Click here for more information and to register. The Achieving the Dream Scholarship Program is well underway. We had fabulous applicants and look forward to announcing this year's recipients shortly once the Board has approved it. Member Spotlight: Jacksonville Armada FC
The Armada has landed in Jacksonville and we want you to come aboard!! Jacksonville Armada FC has brought professional soccer back to Jacksonville as part of the 11-team North American Soccer League. The Armada play their home matches at the Baseball Grounds - named Community First Park for their soccer matches - and the club would like to invite you, your friends and your family to come support our boys in blue during the Fall season, which kicks off at home on July 18 (see details below) against the New York Cosmos and features other teams like the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Fort Lauderdale Strikers and San Antonio Scorpions. The Clinton Foundation's Health Matters Initiative (CHMI) and the PGA TOUR are pleased to present the Employee Health Improvement Forum, a half-day event aimed at providing small and mid-sized businesses with the information and tools needed to support employee well-being.
Immediately following the forum, participants will have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the PGA TOUR's new wellness center.

Our friends at Indo US Chamber have shared some valuable information. Ask-A-Lawyer is in its 6th year of service in Northeast Florida. It's all about taking legal guidance into neighborhoods to educate, encourage, and empower. Pro bono attorneys have assisted hundreds of people to take steps on their own to resolve legal matters at Ask-A-Lawyer events. There will be about 15 licensed, pro bono attorneys ready to talk to individuals, one-to-one, in 15-minute interviews to answer legal questions and provide guidance.
