President's Message

Hola FCHCC Members and Supporters:

We have had a very busy month with successful events in May such as the Beaches Mixer, Power Networking Business Luncheon and an Educational Workshop on the financial aspects of owning a business. FCHCC was also proud to be part of the very first Mujeres del Maņana Latina Women's Conference hosted by our member and partner, The H.I.L.L., which was a well-organized and empowering event. There are many amazing Latina Leaders in this community and it was inspiring to see them come together.

June will have many opportunities to network and promote your businesses. The amazing Luis Lobo will be our keynote speaker at the June 4th Business Luncheon and he will discuss how to leverage our Hispanic Heritage. There will also be a Beaches Mixer on June 10th, an Educational Workshop on how to market your business on June 25th and the Professional Networking Event will be back by popular demand on June 25th. Click here for more information and to register.

Now that the recent elections in Duval County are behind us, we look forward to working with Mayor-elect Lenny Curry and Sheriff-elect Mike Williams and turning the previous dialogue into action. We will also be partnering with Hispanic leaders to improve our numbers regarding registered voters and to increase the Hispanic turnout at the voting polls. As we prepare for next year's presidential race, we must ensure that our elected officials hear our united voices and that voice is only heard through the POWER OF THE VOTE.

Exciting changes are coming including a redesigned website, issuance of formal membership cards, and member discounts.  It's a great time to be an FCHCC member so if you have not renewed your membership or are considering joining as a new member click here for more information.

Warmest regards,

Maribel Hernandez
