President's Message

Hola FCHCC Members and Supporters:

I hope that the school year is off to a great start for your students! August was a light month for activities due to the summer schedules. We had a fabulous Professional Networking Event on August 27 at Moxie Kitchen and Cocktails where we had some great networking and everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves and promote their businesses and events.

September kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month and it is filled with worthwhile activities including a Business Luncheon on September 15 with keynote speaker: Derek Lott, Senior Director of Diversity; Winn-Dixie Stores / Bi-Lo Holdings who will discuss supply chain, diversity, and minorities doing business with Winn-Dixie at Omni Hotel. Also, our Educational Workshop on September 22 features our strategic partner, Winn-Dixie, who will share the process for becoming a supplier/vendor. On the evening of September 26, we are going to have a great time celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at the Jacksonville Armada Soccer Game to watch our soccer team battle it out against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Be on the lookout for a special invitation and member pricing for the game and activities. I look forward to seeing you there!

Plans are underway for the 2015 Achieving the Dream Awards Luncheon on October 16, 2015, where we will honor sixteen amazing students with scholarships and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and you can also purchase a table or individual tickets. Visit  fchcc.com for more information.

It's the right time to become an FCHCC member so if you have not renewed your membership or are considering joining as a new member, click here for more information!

Warmest regards,
