President's Message

Hola FCHCC Members and Supporters:

¡Mi gente!! It is my hope that you are enjoying the summer and spending time with your loved ones. We are so excited to announce the recipients of the 2015 Achieving the Dream Scholarships! This year's applicants were extremely impressive and we are so pleased with the talent and potential that these Hispanic students bring to our community. Planning is underway for the formal awards on October 16, 2015 at the Achieving the Dream Scholarship Awards Luncheon where we will not only honor these students but also celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

July was a month for mid-year reflection as we all re-focus to ensure that we are on track with delivering on our goals for the year and preparing for 2016. There was an Educational Workshop on taxes where members Veronica Garcia, CPA, and Rebecca L. Perez, CPA, shared valuable information to ensure that business owners remain in compliance with the tax laws and maximize their net profit. Many thanks to Veronica and Rebecca for donating their time and sharing their knowledge.

We are gearing back up in August and have exciting events planned for you which include an Educational Workshop on August 25 where experts will discuss planning for your financial future and our Professional Networking Event on August 27 at Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails sponsored by valued member New York Life where we will network and have an opportunity to promote our respective businesses. I look forward to seeing you there!

It's a great time to be an FCHCC member so if you have not renewed your membership or are considering joining as a new member, click here for more information.
